A distinguished attorney, Ms. Pennycook brings a wealth of experience and a commitment to justice that stands out in the field of personal injury law. Graduating cum laude from Loyola University Chicago School of Law in 2018, Ms. Pennycook's academic achievements were a precursor to her legal career.
Ms. Pennycook began her journey at Cooney & Conway as a law clerk in 2016, where she honed her skills in various areas of personal injury law. After gaining significant experience at other prestigious Chicago law firms, including Corboy & Demetrio and Phillips Law Offices, she returned to Cooney & Conway as an attorney in July 2024. Ms. Pennycook's practice covers a broad spectrum of personal injury cases, including product liability, construction negligence, premises liability, motor vehicle negligence, and federal civil rights, among others.
Her dedication and expertise have not gone unnoticed. Ms. Pennycook was selected for the 2023 edition of Best Lawyers "Ones to Watch in America" for Personal Injury Litigation - Plaintiffs and recognized in the Lawdragon 500 X - the Next Generation, highlighting her as one of the top 500 up-and-coming attorneys nationwide. Ms. Pennycook also made significant contributions as a Junior Editor of the Children's Legal Rights Journal and served as captain of Loyola's Criminal Mock Trial Team.
A proud alumna of Indiana University, Ms. Pennycook earned her Bachelor of Science in Public Policy Analysis with a Certificate in Business Foundations in 2015. She is admitted to practice law in the State of Illinois and the Northern District of Illinois, and she is an active member of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, the American Association for Justice, and the Chicago Bar Association.
