Cooney & Conway, LLP is pleased to announce that Charles A. Porretta and Daniel T. Ryan have been named Managing Partners of the firm. In addition to their management responsibilities, Charley and Dan will continue to represent victims of asbestos disease.
About Charles A. Porretta
Charley initially joined Cooney & Conway in 1989 as a law clerk and re-joined in 2007. For his entire legal career, he has represented seriously injured victims of negligence and families in wrongful death and personal injury actions. He has achieved many mesothelioma settlements in excess of $1 million and has been trial counsel on several multi-million dollar verdicts. He has orally argued matters before the Illinois Appellate Court and the Supreme Court of Illinois. Charley received his undergraduate degree from Marquette University and his J.D. from John Marshall Law School.
About Daniel T. Ryan
Dan joined the firm as a law clerk in 2003 and re-joined Cooney & Conway as an attorney in 2006. He has secured dozens of multi-million dollar settlements for his clients against national manufacturers and distributors of asbestos-containing products, including multiple clients whose recovery was in excess of $5 million. Over the years, SuperLawyers magazine has recognized Dan with inclusion on its Illinois Rising Stars list. Dan received his B.A. from Villanova University and his J.D. from DePaul University College of Law.
